Head of Operations for the Kingston East Police, Deputy Superintendent Hornett Williams, says normality has returned to the community of Mountain View in St. Andrew.

This following last Friday night’s killing of 27 year old, Frei Riley.

A report from the Corporate Communications Unit of the Constabulary says Riley, of Jacques Road, was fatally shot during a confrontation with the Police in the vicinity of Langston Road and Homestead Road about 10:53pm on Friday.

But angry residents blocked Langston Road and Mountain View Avenue on Saturday, demanding that the police reveal the truth about Riley’s death.

The Independent Commission of Investigations, INDECOM, is probing the matter.

DSP Williams says the police are cooperating with INDECOM.
