Nationwide News understands that Transport and Mining Minister, Robert Montague, has requested and received the resignation of the majority of members of the Board of Directors of Clarendon Alumina Partners, CAP.

It’s understood that Minister Montague, last night, dissolved the Board.

The decision by the minister has come as there’s increasing in fighting among board members about their stewardship.

The mining minister’s dissolution of the CAP board follows a disclosure by Nationwide News last week that the Chairman of the Board, Norman Reid, had resigned.

The former Chairman had said he walked away as he intensified his objection to moves being made by his then Deputy, Dennis Wright, to extend a controversial consultancy contract.

Our news centre understands that Wright is among approximately seven members of the nine member CAP Board who have resigned.
