Lobby group, Citizens Action for Principle and Integrity, CAPI, says the lack of a credible reason for the sudden retirement of Police Commissioner Owen Ellington, is a demonstration of the contempt the government has for the people of Jamaica.

Co-convenor of CAPI, Dennis Meadows, argues that the Minister of National Security, Peter Bunting, has shown his disregard for good governance by not telling the country the true reasons for Mr. Ellington’s departure.

Mr. Meadows says the onus is on the Simpson Miller administration to provide the country with the true reason for the sudden resignation of the head of the Jamaica Constabulary Force.
