Danish midfielder Christian Eriksen is in stable condition at hospital after he collapsed on the pitch in a Euro 2020 game between Denmark and Finland.

The game was suspended by Uefa.

Eriksen, the Inter Milan midfield star, collapsed in the 43rd minute of the game.

Medical personnel were summoned to the pitch when Eriksen appeared unresponsive.

Medical personnel performed CPR and chest compressions on the pitch for approximately 15 minutes before he was taken from the pitch on a stretcher.

Players from both teams and fans in the stadium were shaken by the incident, with several in tears.
