Justice Minister, Delroy Chuck, says the bulk of the massive increase in salaries being paid to parliamentarians, will likely be pumped back into the various constituencies.
Speaking Friday on Cliff Hughes Online, Minister Chuck says for members of parliament like himself, a bigger salary simply means an increased capacity to give to those most in need.
The Prime Minister has defended the massive salary hike for parliamentarians, saying the new rates of pay will entice more talented Jamaicans to pursue a career in politics.
While not opposing that line of reasoning, Minister Chuck believes the primary reason for entering the political arena should be to provide service to the people.
