Public Commentators are calling on Prime Minister Andrew Holness to back up his statements regarding uplifting working-class Jamaicans with concrete policy to achieve it.

CEO of Windsor Wellness Centre, Dr. Alfred Dawes, says to move Jamaicans into the middle class, significant economic growth is required.

Prime Minister Andrew Holness declared his intention to focus on moving working-class Jamaicans into the middle class.

He was addressing the Jamaica Labour Party’s 79th annual conference at the National Arena in St Andrew on Sunday.

Dr. Dawes says being a middle-class Jamaican also needs to be made more attractive by providing proper opportunities to achieve a decent standard of housing.
