Nine days after he was charged with murder, arising from the disappearance of his girlfriend Donna Lee Donaldson, Constable Noel Maitland, is scheduled to make his first appearance in court today.
Maitland’s first court date was fixed following a lengthy case review late Tuesday.
Constable Maitland is due in the Half Way Tree RM court at 10am.
Maitland was charged with Donaldson’s murder on August 2 following an investigation by the Major Investigation Division.
He was taken into custody on Wednesday, July 27.
Donaldson was reported missing on July 13 and has not been seen since.
The police announced on August 2 that she was murdered, which led to Maitland being charged.
