Consumer Confidence fell to its lowest level in the past year.

That’s among the findings of the Business and Consumer Confidence survey for the first quarter of 2017.

However, while consumer confidence fell to its lowest level in the last year it has remained more favourable than the decade before with the exception of one survey.

In releasing a summary of the survey findings this morning, the Jamaica Camber of Commerce says business confidence has remained largely unchanged during the past five quarters.

This remains the most favourable levels recorded in the past fifteen years.

The JCC says the willingness of businesses to invest also remains at an all time high.

The findings are to be released at a media briefing at the Spanish Court Hotel tomorrow morning.
