The Police have arrested a man in connection with the vandalism of a Jamaica Urban Transit Company, JUTC, bus.

He’s 38-year-old Atiba Walker.

The JUTC’s Franchise and Revenue Protection Manager is Radcliffe Lewis.

Mr. Lewis says costing the company over $100,000 to repair it.

Mr. Lewis says the JUTC is grateful to the citizens who reported the incident to the police.

Last month, Mr. Lewis says more than 50 buses had been damaged by stones in the Portmore area since the start of the year.

Communications Manager at the JUTC, Cecil Thoms, says between 2014 and this year, the company has spent about $40-million to repair damaged buses. He says 77 buses have been damaged this year compared to 29 last year.
