Vendors at the Coronation Market in downtown Kingston, are calling on the Kingston and St. Andrew Corporation, KSAC and the West Kingston Police to improve security at the facility.
This following the stabbing death of a 60 year old vendor last evening.
The police have yet to release her name, but her colleagues identify her as ‘Monica’ from St. Thomas.
Nationwide News visited the market today.
One vendor told us that Monica was robbed of her ring by her attackers, who didn’t take the $1500 that was in her bag.

Another vendor told us that criminal elements are using the area as a hideout from the Police.
The woman says the criminals are also making life hard for vendors, as they regularly steal their goods.
