Jamaica has confirmed thirty new Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours.

The Ministry of Health’s latest COVID-19 Clinical Management Summary says this brings the total number of cases to 9 thousand 9 hundred and 59.

The cases range from 7-years-old to 89-years-old.

No new deaths were recorded.

Covid-19 deaths now stand at 231 while a total of 33 deaths are still under investigation.

According to the Ministry of Health, majority of the cases are from St. James, after recording 8 new cases.
This is followed by Hanover with 5 cases.

The parishes of  Clarendon, Kingston and St. Andrew, Portland, St. Ann, St. Mary and St. Thomas recorded no new cases.

Eight people have recovered in the last 24 hours with a total of 5,338 recoveries.

In the meantime 81 people are hospitalized, 11 people are moderately ill and 6 are critically ill.
