Jamaica’s COVID-19 positivity rate is 26.5%.

That’s according to the latest update from the Ministry of Health and Wellness.

The positivity rate follows the confirmation of 131 new cases.

The cases come from the 566 samples tested in the last 24 hours.

The total number of positive cases in the island now stands at 1-hundred and 45 thousand 9 hundred and 83.

Majority of the new cases reported are from Kingston and St. Andrew.

There were no fatalities recorded.

More than 3-thousand Jamaicans have died from the virus.

93 recoveries are reported in the update.

One hundred and 2 persons are hospitalised with COVID.

19 are moderately ill, 7 are severely ill, and 2 considered critical.

Over 92-percent of those hospitalised are unvaccinated.
