Jamaica’s COVID-19 positivity rate is at 14%.

That’s according to the latest update from the Ministry of Health and Wellness.

The positivity rate follows the confirmation of 28 new cases.

The cases come from 1-hundred and 71 COVID-19 samples tested in the last 24 hours.

The total number of positive cases in the island now stands at 1-hundred and 47 thousand 3 hundred and 44.

Majority of the new cases reported are from Kingston and St. Andrew with 17.

There were no new COVID-19 fatalities.

Meanwhile, there were 95 new recoveries.

One hundred and 21 persons are hospitalised with COVID.

28 are moderately ill, 5 are severely ill, and 7 considered critical.

85-percent of those hospitalised are unvaccinated.

96-point-9 per cent of COVID-19 deaths are also reported as unvaccinated.
