Several craft vendors are describing Monday’s arrival of the Carnival Sunrise cruise with over 1,700 passengers aboard as a blessing.

The ship docked in Ocho Rios.

One of the members of the craft vending community in St. Ann spoke with the media.

The vendor says she and her colleagues, who’ve been facing difficult times, have been awaiting Monday’s experience, which she described as good.

Another craft vending leader in St. Ann said it was a good experience receiving visitors.

She appealed to Jamaicans to understand that the cruise ship industry is important to the livelihood of many of their fellow citizens.

Another craft vendor also spoke with the media and said he’s pleased that tourists who disembarked the Carnival Sunrise were engaging and bought goods.
