Eighteen Cuban teachers have been sent to schools across the island to boost Science and Spanish teaching.

They’ll serve at all levels of the school system. They join thirty-nine other teachers from Cuba already teaching here.

Permanent Secretary in the Education Ministry, Dean-Roy Bernard, says the Cuban teachers will help the government’s push to get children to learn Spanish.
