West Rural St. Andrew Member of Parliament, Juliet Cuthbert Flynn, says she’d support a referendum in order to push the discussion forward on abortion.

Mrs. Cuthbert Flynn, was speaking on Nationwide This Morning with Abka Fitz-Henley and Danielle Archer.

She was responding to a member of the clergy.

On Monday, Bishop Alvin Bailey, Chairman of Jamaica Cause and Vice President of the Jamaica Association of Evangelicals, called for action from the Prime Minister regarding Mrs Cuthbert Flynn’s public support of a conscience vote on abortion. However, Mrs. Cuthbert Flynn says she has a right to bring any motion to parliament.

She says Bishop Bailey may not fully understand the dynamics of parliament.
