Twenty-three-year-old dancehall artiste, Nigy Boy, who was registered at birth as Nigel Hector, is officially a university graduate.

The visually impaired entertainer graduated from Stony Brook University on Thursday.

Stony Brook University, officially the State University of New York at Stony Brook, is a public research university on Long Island in Stony Brook, New York.

Nigy Boy pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree with double majors in political science and history.

The singer took to his Instagram page to announce his recent accomplishments.

His post was captioned simply, “I made it.” In the video posted, Nigy Boy was seen walking across the stage in his gown and cap to receive his degree.

He says he wants to pursue a career in law in the near future.
