Member of Parliament for Southern St. James, the PNP’s Derrick Kellier, is recovering in hospital this afternoon, after being rushed there on Friday.

PNP General Secretary, Julian Robinson, says Mr. Kellier is in good spirits but will remain hospitalized for a few more days.

Mr. Kellier, who is 70 years old, has held several key positions in government, including Minister of Labour and Social Security, and Agriculture.

In the last election in 2016, he defeated the JLP’s Homer Davis by just 53 votes following a magisterial recount.
