The Commissioner of the Independent Commission of Investigations, INDECOM, Terrence Williams, is calling for more institutional changes inside the Constabulary Force, to purge the organization of corrupt elements.

Mr. Williams told our news centre that it’s his understanding that Police personnel are being corrupted on the job, rather than before entry into the force.

The Police have announced plans to subject all potential recruits to polygraph or lie detector testing, in order to bar criminal elements from enlisting.

The INDECOM boss is welcoming the move, but says the Constabulary could do with fostering a whistleblower culture.
