Nationwide News understands that police detectives probing the disappearance of social media influencer, Donna-lee Donaldson are now treating the case as a murder investigation.

A senior member of the police High Command confirmed with our news centre that the matter was now being investigated as a case of murder.

The confirmation comes amid word that investigators searched the apartment of Donaldson’s boyfriend, Constable Noel Maitland yesterday.

This is the fourth such search of the premises since the social media influencer was reported missing.

Miss Donaldson has been missing since July 11.

It’s understood scene of crime detectives are carefully scouring the inside of the apartment for any additional evidence that may explain Donaldson’s whereabouts.

Constable Maitland was arrested on Wednesday by detectives attached to the Counter-Terrorism and Organised Crime Investigative Branch in relation to her disappearance.

No charges have yet been laid against him.

He remains in custody pending a question and answer session with his attorney, Christopher Townsend.

Mr. Townsend told our news centre he expects that his client will be questioned by detectives today.

However, the police were unable to confirm that such a session was scheduled.
