Education Minister Fayval Williams says she’ll move a motion at the next sitting of Parliament aimed at addressing the issue of children living and working on the streets of Jamaica.

Minister Williams was addressing the House of Representatives yesterday.

The Youth Minister says the Child Protection and Family Services Agency, CPFSA, benefited from technical support from the Wind Rock International organization which studied the issue.

Mrs. Williams says the study was aimed at determining the factors that predispose children to live and work on the street in Jamaica.

She says there’s a need for serious intervention.
