English football giants, Manchester City and Chelsea, have been drawn against European football royalty in the quarter finals of this season’s Champions League.

In Friday morning’s draw, Chelsea was drawn against Real Madrid, while Manchester City will battle Bayern Munich.

Having dispatched Liverpool 6-2 on aggregate in the previous round, Real will be seeking to take another English scalp.

After a sluggish start to his Chelsea tenure, Graham Potter’s big spending Blues seems to have turned a corner in recent weeks culminating in their comeback victory over Borussia Dortmund in the previous round.

Pep Guardiola will face his former team, Bayern in the next round. The Cityzens mauled RB Leipzig in the second leg of the round of 16, scoring seven unanswered goals, while the Bavarians made light work of the Mbappe and Messi-led PSG.
