Chairman of the Economic Programme Oversight Committee, EPOC, Keith Duncan, says the government must not relent in its efforts to reduce the country’s debt.

Opposition Leader, Mark Golding, has chided the government for being preoccupied with debt reduction, at the expense of pumping resources into areas that can have an immediate impact on the lives of poor Jamaicans.

The EPOC Chairman says debt reduction is the key to expanding support for social welfare and poor relief programmes.
