A trough is lingering across Jamaica and is expected to produce occasional showers and isolated thunderstorm activity throughout Friday.

The Met Service says persons should expect windy conditions to begin on Saturday especially along the south coast.

This it says is due to the presence of a low level jet stream across the Central Caribbean.

The forecast for Friday morning is isolated showers across sections of southern and northeastern parishes.

In the afternoon, expect cloudy with widely scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms across sections of most parishes.

Friday night, the Met Service is forecasting lingering showers across the island.
