Opposition Leader Andrew Holness, says the government could ease the drought conditions affecting the Corporate Area by extracting water from the Rio Cobre.

Mr. Holness says the Water Ministry could take 15 million gallons of water from the Rio Cobre and pump it into the Content Irrigation and Water Treatment System.

He was speaking yesterday at a tank and water distribution event in his West Central St. Andrew constituency.
