Prime Minister Andrew Holness says a claim by Opposition Leader, Dr. Peter Phillips that the Government has cut the national security budget is false.

Mr. Holness says the Opposition appears to have disregarded a $2-billion budgetary allocation which was spent on purchasing ships to help secure Jamaican waters.

Prime Minister Holness says the government has allocated an additional $2.6-billion to national security for this fiscal year.
