The brother of the woman who collapsed and later died during Sunday’s staging of the annual Sagicor-Sigma Corporate Run, says his family is still in shock.

Robert Morgan says his sister, Alicia Prince, was the last child for their mother.

Mr. Morgan says reports from Sagicor that Ms. Prince received immediate medical treatment, appear inconsistent with what he has been told.

In a statement yesterday , Sagicor says Ms. Prince received immediate attention from a team including a medical doctor, two Emergency Medical Technicians and a nurse, travelling in one of several medical vehicles deployed along the route.

The statement says Ms. Prince was taken to the Andrews Memorial Hospital where she received additional treatment.

Mr. Morgan is also seeking to clarify media reports that members of the family crashed while heading to the hospital yesterday.

He says some friends of the family were involved in a minor traffic incident, but that no one was hurt.
