20 year-old Forward, Mireya Grey will replace Kayla McCoy in Jamaica’s official 23 member playing squad for the FIFA Women’s World Cup.
McCoy was dropped for the squad after suffering a torn ACL during the Reggae Girlz 3-2 loss to Scotland in an international friendly, on May 28.
Grey represented Jamaica at the 2018 CONCACAF Women’s U-20 Championship.
She made her senior debut in a 3–1 friendly win against Panama on May 19.
The attacking player will join up with the squad late Friday.
The tournament kicks off tomorrow with hosts France taking on South Korea.
The Reggae Girlz are Drawn in group “C” along with Brazil, Italy and Australia.
They play their first match against Brazil on Sunday.
