Finance Minister Dr Nigel Clarke yesterday opened the debates on the Independent Fiscal Commission, in Parliament.

The Finance Minister had tabled the bill in parliament last year.

Yesterday he outlined the bill clause by clause before the House.

He says the commission will have a unique role.

Dr Clarke says the government sought wide consultations on the bill.
