The National Workers Union (NWU) says normalcy is to be restored by drivers and mechanics engaged at the Jamaica Fire Brigade commencing at 7:00 this morning.
This follows industrial action taken by the workers on Monday.
The NWU, which represents the workers, had instructed them to Work to Rule.
The industrial action is linked to the 2015-2017 wage negotiations.
The NWU says normalcy is being restored pending the outcome of an upcoming meeting with officials of the Ministry of Local Government and the Board of the Brigade.
It says the Union received communication from the Minister of Local Government, Desmond Mckenzie.
The Union says Mr. McKenzie has instructed a team led by the Permanent Secretary to meet with the parties in an effort to amicably settle the matter.
