A fire at the Grand Palladium Hotel in Hanover has damaged sections of the property.

The fire reportedly destroyed one craft shop and damaged another craft shop. It’s understood the facilities that went up in flames are wooden structures.

Reports are the first broke out on a section of the hotel reserved for staff.

It’s understood the fire broke out at a section of the property that’s not connected to the main grounds of the Grand Palladium Hotel.

Superintendent in charge of the Hanover Fire Department, Raymond DeSouza, said the incident took place shortly after 7:00 pm Wednesday evening.

Superintendent DeSouza said the fire did not affect the hotel’s operations.

No injuries were reported.
