The Savanna-La-Mar Police have arrested and charged five people following the seizure of two firearms and ten rounds of ammunition in Big Bridge district, Little London, Westmoreland yesterday.
Those arrested are 23-year-old farmer Otis Kerlow, 38-year-old Melisa Banton, 20-year-old student Samoya Banton, 23-year-old chef Samantha Walker and 20-year-old chef Bryan Banton.
They’re all of Big Bridge district in the parish.
Reports from the Police are that about 10:45 a.m, an operation was carried out at a premises and one 9mm pistol fitted with a magazine containing four 9mm cartridges.
One .38 revolver containing six .38 cartridges was also found in building blocks at the back of the house.
Charges were laid on the five following a question and answer session with the police.
Their court dates are being finalized.
