A flash flood warning is still in effect for low-lying and flood-prone areas in Trelawny, St. Ann, St. Mary and Portland.

These are St. Thomas, Kingston and St. Andrew, St. Catherine, Clarendon, Manchester, St. Elizabeth and Westmoreland, Hanover and St. James.

The Jamaican Met Service says the cold front across the island continues to create unstable weather conditions.

There was flooding across a number of parishes to include Trelawny, St. Ann and St. Mary yesterday.

The Office of Disaster Preparedness and Emergency Management, ODPEM says it has alerted the Municipal Corporations and the National Response agencies.
It says the forecast is for periods of showers and thunderstorms to affect sections of most parishes today into Friday.

Windy conditions are also expected mainly across sections of northern parishes.

ODPEM is urging individuals, homeowners, institutions and Businesses to take the necessary precautions.
