Former Member of Parliament for South St. James and state Minister of Tourism, Dr. Marco Brown, has died.

He died today of Covid-19 complications.

Dr. Brown served as a member of the Jamaica Labour Party for decades. He became the Minister of State for Tourism in 1980 and Member of Parliament for Southern St. James between 1980 and 1989.

Dr. Brown has been described as a passionate and principled man who dedicated his life to the service of his country and the people of St. James.

As a medical doctor, he cared for the residents of St. James who remember him as being an honourable man with an indomitable spirit.
