Health and Wellness Minister, Dr. Christopher Tufton, says Cabinet has given approval for fully vaccinated Jamaicans to attend certain upcoming events.

Dr. Tufton made the announcement while speaking at the hand-over of the long-awaited field hospital for the Savanna-la-Mar Public General Hospital yesterday.

He says government’s decision on the selected calendar events will be made known to the public in two weeks.

The health and wellness minister says government cannot continue to restrict those who’ve decided to take the jab.

Dr. Tufton notes that the decision to reward those who are vaccinated must be seen as a valid one.

The special calendar events will be decided by a team comprising Dr. Tufton, Culture and Entertainment Minister Olivia Grange, and Local Government Minister, Desmond McKenzie.
