Thirty billion dollars versus $70-billion.
Those are the costs stated for the JLP and PNP’s social programmes respectively.
The numbers were provided by Minister of Finance and JLP campaign spokesman, Dr. Nigel Clarke, and PNP Spokesman on Finance, Mark Golding, during last night’s debate on the economy.
Meanwhile, Mr. Golding said the PNP’s plan would cost more than twice that $70-billion.
Dr. Clarke rebutted that the PNP plan would wreck the country.
However, Mr. Golding said they would prioritize their plans.
