The funeral service for the former president of the Jamaica Table Tennis Association, JTTA, Godfrey Lothian, was held at the Portmore Seventh-Day Adventist Church, on Thursday.

Lothian, who was president of the sport’s local governing body from 2013 until he decided not to seek re-election early this year, passed away on June 15.

During his tribute, former treasurer of the JTTA, Darrington Ferguson, described Lothian as an icon.

Ferguson says Lothian started the resurgent of the sport locally in 2013.
