The Health Minister, Horace Dalley has dispatched 1,000 health inspectors across the island to eradicate mosquito breeding sites, as part of efforts to mitigate against the arrival of the dreaded Zika virus on our shores.

The Ministry is also expected to roll out an intensified fogging programme next week, as it ramps up preparation for Zika.

The Director of Health Promotion and Protection in the Ministry, Dr. Sonia Copeland addressed today’s Jamaica House media briefing.
