The mother of a Clarendon woman who was murdered along with her four children in Cocoa Piece Clarendon last month, says she forgives their killer.

However, she still wants him to die.

Gwendolyn White McKnight, is the mother of Kemisha Wright and grandmother to her four children. The five were brutally slain at their home in June.

Yesterday, their cousin, 23-year-old Rushane Barnett, plead guilty to the murders.

Barnett gave an account of the incident that led to their deaths suggesting that he felt disrespected by her behaviour in the presence of customers.

However, Mrs. White McKnight questions the motive he provided to the courts.

Meanwhile, the grieving mother and grandmother says his testimony has brought her some closure.

Justice Leighton Pusey made a formal order in court on Thursday, to have media houses take down images of murder accused Rushane Barnett, that were captured while he was at court.

Justice Pusey expressed concern over the matter, saying he is aware of photos of the accused being used by media houses.

He is advising against the capturing of images in and around the precincts of the court.

Justice Pusey says although it is a criminal offence the penalty is minuscule.

He says if the pictures are not taken down and continue to be used by media houses, it will be deemed in contempt of the court.

This offence, Justice Pusey emphasized, carries much more weight.
