Grange Calls For Parliamentary Women’s Caucus

Gender Affairs Minister, Olivia Grange has called for the establishment of a women’s caucus of Parliamentarians.

She tabled a motion in the House of Representatives this week.

Ms. Grange says there’s a need for a space within the parliament for women to promote issues of women’s rights and gender equality.

She’s calling for such a caucus to be created as a joint select committee of the Parliament.
