Internal Auditor, Fraud Investigator, and Forensic Accountant Colin Greenland say defrauded customers might often suffer more losses than are retrievable.
Speaking on Nationwide This Morning, Greenland provided an expert’s perspective on stolen funds tracking amid ongoing SSL fraud investigations.
When asked how often victims get a total return of stolen monies or assets, he said:
Mr. Greenland says tracing and recovering stolen funds can become a complex process depending on how the money was used.
According to the forensic accounting expert, the process also becomes more complicated if monies are being kept in overseas accounts with different regulatory procedures.
