Fast bowler, Gus Atkinson, produced the second best bowling figures by an Englishman on Test debut as the hosts ripped through the West Indies batting on day one of the first cricket Test at Lord’s.

Atkinson, who plays County Cricket for Surrey, bagged 7 for 45 including three wickets in four balls as the Caribbean team was rolled over for 121 after they were 88 for 3 at one stage.

Only Dominic Cork had better figures on debut for England than Atkinson.

Another debutant was the top scorer for West Indies as Mikyle Louis made 27, Alick Athanaze 23 and Kavem Hidge 24.

In replay England reached 153 for 3 at Sportstime with, Zak Crawley 76, Ben Duckett 3 and Ollie Pope 57 the men dismissed.
