General manager of Harbour View Football Club, Clyde Jureidini, is singing the praises of four of the club’s promising young players after they excelled both on the football field and in the classroom.
The players, Dominic Thompson, Jayden Smith, Jelani Harvey and Triston Riley, produced impressive results in their recent Caribbean Secondary Education Certificate examinations.
Thompson led the way, successfully passing 10 subjects, including an outstanding nine distinctions.
Smith also delivered an impressive performance, passing nine subjects, seven of which were with distinctions.
Harvey recorded nine passes with six distinctions, while Riley passed nine subjects, earning five distinctions.
Jureidini believes the achievements of the four players should serve as an inspiration to other young footballers within the club and beyond.
Jureidini says young footballers who combine talent on the field with strong academic performances are likely to be viewed more favourably by scouts and clubs looking for well-rounded players.
