The Ministry of Health and Wellness is reporting an increase in COVID-19 cases over the last week.
In the latest bulletin, a total of 175 new cases were recorded from January 10 to 16.
In light of this, Director of Family Health Services, Dr Melody Ennis, is imploring Jamaicans to take the necessary precautions in order to prevent the spread of the virus.

Of the new cases, fifty-six were recorded in Kingston and St. Andrew, followed by St. Catherine with thirty and St. Ann with twenty-four.
Approximately 27.7 per cent of the adult population are fully vaccinated while the children’s population now stands at 27.6 per cent.
