The Meteorological Service says the heavy rainfall this afternoon in parts of the Corporate Area today, should not continue into tomorrow.
Duty Forecaster at the Meteorological Service, Javed Hudson, told Nationwide News rains are due to a pressure ridge which remains across sections of the island. He says this is causing excess moisture in the atmosphere.
Hudson says other southern parishes also experienced heavy rainfall this afternoon.
Meanwhile, the Police are advising motorists using the Portmore toll road to exercise caution when exiting the thoroughfare onto Marcus Garvey Drive.
In a tweet this afternoon, the Jamaica Constabulary Force, says there is flooding in the vicinity of Tinson Pen, in St. Andrew. Flooding is also being reported on Hagley Park Road, in St. Andrew.
