Transport Minister Mike Henry says the government will not be giving up on the revitalization of the country’s rail service.

This after a multi-million dollar deal with the US-based Herzog Incorporated fell through.

A Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Transport and Herzog Railroad Services Incorporated, HRSI, expired last week.

According to a report in the papers last Sunday, Herzog Jamaica Limited, a Subsidiary of HRSI, failed to meet the deliverables of the non-binding MOU signed over one year ago.

However, Minister Henry says he’ll be assessing the events which led to the fall-through.
