Opposition Senator Damion Crawford says the government’s compensation restructuring efforts are built on the ideas of the People’s National Party.
Speaking on Nationwide at Five Friday evening, Senator Crawford expressed that the current compensation review scheme should not be categorised as solely a JLP achievement since it was a creature of the PNP government.
He further stated that the ruling Jamaica Labour Party’s current fiscal discipline policies are being painted as new ideas when the PNP should be credited for conceptualising the targets used.
In his estimation, this reflects a failure on the part of the media to give due regard to the achievements of the People’s National Party and in particular, Portia Simpson Miller.
