The Jamaica Labour Party is also expressing confidence of victory today.
JLP Leader, Andrew Holness, is promising that the PNP will hang their heads in shame on election night. Mr. Holness made his way to the Waltham Educational Centre in West Central St. Andrew around 1pm.
He’s facing the PNP’s Patrick Roberts, who he defeated by just over 1000 votes in the last election. But the bigger battle is for the nation. Mr. Holness says the JLP polls are showing increasing support for the Labour Party.
However, the Opposition Leader is not ready to predict how many seats his party will win.
He says they’ve been able to go toe to toe with the PNP.
The JLP leader says on Thursday, the party will be responding to Finance Minister Dr. Peter Phillips’ claims that the JLP’s campaign promises will cost more than $100-billion dollars.
