Minister of Industry, Investment and Commerce, Anthony Hylton, says the country’s significant improvement in the global ease of doing business report, should spur the local private sector into action.

The report, published by the World Bank, ranks Jamaica at 58th out of 1-hundred-and-89 countries captured in this year’s publication.

Minister Hylton says the improvement is not by accident and is the result of the government’s hard work since 2012.

He’s calling on the private sector to exploit the improvement in the business environment.

Minister Hylton says there are several large investments that will be announced in the near future.
