After a major health scare, the Deputy Chief Executive Officer of the Jamaica Information Service, JIS, Ian Boyne, is now out of the Intensive Care Unit, of the University Hospital of the West Indies.

In a statement this afternoon, the JIS says the veteran journalist and columnist is recuperating well in the Tony Thwaites Wing of the University Hospital.

Mr Boyne was rushed to the hospital on Saturday, December 2, after falling ill.

The JIS Deputy CEO says he’s deeply touched by the outpouring of love from all sectors of the society.

And that he’s grateful to God. Mr. Boyne also described his experience as frightening and declared that quote “I am a miracle.”
